The purpose of the Sr. Logistics Support (ILS) Manager position is to integrate various logistics processes within the operational, acquisition environments. Provide logistics and logistics planning support to technical programs.The Sr. Logistics Support (ILS) Manager will develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment data.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Conduct logistics management and supportability analysis to evaluate the reliability, availability, and maintainability of system hardware.
  • Prepare and revise various logistics support plans, such as the Integrated Logistics Support Plan; Configuration Management Plan; Life Cycle Support Plan; and Supply Support Plan
  • Review, analyze and evaluate technical data and other documentation to assess its impact on Logistics Management Information and ILS Documentation.
  • Provide recommendations for required changes to such data and documentation.
  • Develop or revise existing Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD)


Candidates must possess the following professional experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum requirements are a High School Diploma or GED
  • Operational submarine experience to include maintenance and modernization periods
  • Six (6) years of experience logistics engineering acquisition, fleet introduction, installation, test operation, and life cycle support of the AN/BQQ-10 Series/AN/BYG-1 combat systems or a computerized and computer-controlled combat system in complexity, operation, maintenance approach and installation.
  • Five (5) years of full-time experience in Navy Integrated Logistic Support and System Life Cycle Support areas of the DOD/Navy Integrated Logistics System.
  • The experience should include each of the following Navy ILS components listed below in support of a major forward electronic system or HM&E systems.
    • Maintenance planning
    • Manpower, personnel, and training support
    • Supply support
    • Test Equipment support
    • Technical logistic data
    • Packaging, handling, storage, and transportation
    • Design and installation

Desired Characteristics:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • Installing, operating, testing, and evaluating various systems, equipment, and components.
  • Configuration Management
